The Church

Komotobo Church was the first Maranatha church to be built in Kenya. Located on the hill of the mission compound it immediately catches your eye as you enter the gates. It was built in 1978 on initiative by the Swedish missionary Curt Johansson. With its 1500 square metres it is one of Maranatha’s biggest church buildings and approximately 200 members gather every Sunday to join the lively service.

Protas Mwita serve as pastor and together with the board they aim to reach the people around Komotobo with the gospel of Jesus Christ.
